The outdoor pool area is equally stunning, a lagoon-style oasis with private cabanas and even a sandy beach. On our first night, we were treated to the iconic Guitar Light Show. Here are our first impressions of Ambergris Caye, the larger of Belize's two most popular island getaways. We stayed in the town of San Pedro and hired a golf cart to get around. This is the most popular mode of transport on the islands and is a really fun way of exploring. After arriving on the ferry from Belize City, we drove to the Truck Stop to grab a pizza and ice cream, before heading further north and west to the Secret Beach. This not-so-secret beach is more of a rocky area of shallow water than a beach, but the water here is calm and clear and it's the perfect spot for watching the sunset.
