I was excited to check out the newly renovated Rio and looking forward to being able to give the improvements a lot of positive hype and attention. Unfortunately my visit was derailed with a fluid soaked mattress liner with evidence of bed bugs. I had three rooms in total booked over two days and two of the three had similar issues. So what does this mean? Bed bugs can and will be found at every resort. Finding a bug itself is less troubling than finding filthy linens thats been made into a bed and placed in service. While I think the Rio is headed towards being a restored property someday soon, they are still very much in transition and currently an active construction site working out snags. Some people have money to blow… I am not one of those people. For all of the activities to do in Vegas during the holiday season, I wouldn’t say that the Snow Carnival at the M Resort is at the top of that list. There is barely snow. I went at the beginning of the night so it shouldn’t have been as packed down as it was. There was sleet and ice not really any fluffy snow. The train ride wasn’t really through a holiday forest more like around 3 trees. Food prices aren’t bad but you have to go on a day they were open. They had one bar open and one closed down. It didn’t seem like it was fully decorated (they just had random trees placed around with no decoration on them). They had cool things to take pictures with which could be worth it for the money. I would love to know how you liked it if you went and how busy did your kids (if you took them) stay entertained for?
